Che’s Village VR

“Good teaching is good teaching, whether that’s 100 years ago or 100 years from now. We owe it to our students to help them learn better and faster, especially with the amount of debt students are taking on to get an education. We are making it deeper and better with technology.”                  Juliette Levy

Building and Testing a VR module: Digital Library Federation, 2021

The Project

We are building an extensible, reusable platform for humanities-oriented VR, using content centered around Che Guevara and the Cuban Revolution.

The experience is part of a hybrid learning environment, and acts as a supplement to traditional instruction.  The platform provides a framework for exploring abstract content in a concrete manner.

We have tested the platform with over 700 students across 4 courses, and received overwhelmingly positive student feedback.
